Yesterday was his progress report hearing, where he faced allegations that he lied about completing his community service. Alicia Keys Performance called ''disrespectful''

Not everyone was happy with Alicia keys' performance at the super bowl, one TV producer wasn't happy with her rendition of the national anthem before the big game! she has called Alicia out for sitting down while performing the national anthem, she went as far as calling Alicia's performance "disrespectful"! Here is what she said: "It was disrespectful. They had enough time and manpower to think of this before the performance. They could have had her stand at her piano keyboard and sing. To me and a lot of my friends, she sounded great but the visual was wrong." One of Alicias publicists fired back, saying: "Alicia is a proud American and was honored to perform at the event. Her slow version of The Star-Spangled Banner was her own arrangement, accompanying herself on the piano, adding 'living in the home of the brave' at the end of the song. Cable car coming to Lagos in 2015

The lagos state governor has agreed with a cable car company, Ropeways Transport Limited to launch a cable car mass urban transit system in the nation’s commercial capital. A 30-year franchise agreement between Ropeways Transport Limited, the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) and the Lagos State government was signed recently. Under the terms of the agreement, Ropeways Transport will this November begin the construction of towers, stations and connecting network cables along various routes covered in the first phase of the project, namely, Ijora – Iddo, Iddo – Adeniji; Apapa – Oluwole, Oluwole – Adeniji, Adeniji – Obalende, Obalende – Falomo, and Falomo – Victoria Island. The project is expected to be fully completed and commissioned by early 2015. The Lagos cable car transit system would provide an alternative means of mass transportation in the city and it will help ease the current transportation hassles in Lagos. I think this is a welcome development if only there is light to operate it.

A mother of 2 that went missing in Turkey found dead

Sarai Sierra is a 33 years old mother of 2 from New York City, who went missing while vacationing alone in Istanbul she was found dead on Saturday and police detained nine people for questioning in connection with her case, Turkey's state-run news agency said. Sarai Sierra was last heard from on Jan. 21, the day she was due to board her flight back home. Her disappearance attracted a lot of interest in Turkey, where such disappearance of foreign tourists are rare and Istanbul police had set up a special unit to find he. The associated press is now reporting that she has been found dead with a fatal blow to the head, which is the main cause of her death. 15 people have been detained for questioning in relation to the death. May her soul rest in peace.

I am mavelled by the fact that, the kids or rather 2 of the kids are a bit older and did not do anything to get out of there, it is not like it is a high building, there are windues in the flat,they could have opened it to get out if they were concious when the fire started. i dont know, this just does not add up to me and probably should be investigated. A Nigerian father of five children has done the unpleasant task of burying them all, after a tragic fire incident that ravaged his home in northern city of kaduna, killing all the children Thursday night. Mohammed Okene: five children killed by fire Mohammed Aminu Okene,a trader in petroleum products was completely devastated when he spoke today with P.M.News on his return from the local cemetery at Tudun Wada. He said, as he broke down in tears, that to bury his five children in a day was the worst tragedy that could ever happen to him and indeed any father. “My life will never be same again,” he said. On the day of the tragic fire, Okene had taken all the children to Saint Gerard Hospital, to visit his wife who had just delivered the family’s 6th child by caesarian section. “I prayed with the children at the hospital for their mum to recover quickly and I took them back home, not knowing I’ll never see them again”. Okene went back to the hospital, to stay with his wife. And he never came back to see the children he left behind. Okene’s five children were Sadiya 16, Ramat 11, Monsir 7, Khalid 9 and Mohammed 13. the house gutted by fire in Kaduna They died after a fire that broke out at the two bedroom apartment at E 26, Fakere Street, Kaduna. The fire was said to have been triggered by some stored petroleum products. The wailing petroleum trader said while he would never forget this shocking incident, he would take solace in the religious belief that it is God that gives life and also takes it away. Meanwhile, Kaduna state Governor, Dr. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero has condoled Okene for his loss. In a press statement signed by Director General, Media and Publicity, Ahmed Maiyaki, Yero who, was moved by the gravity of loss visited the family immediately he got the news after the Friday prayer. Frank Ocean won't be pressing charges against Chris Brown

Frank Ocean says he WILL NOT press charges against Chris Brown after they got at it with each other last week's parking lot. Frank wrote a post on his Tumblr page to explain his decision, saying, "As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man. But as a man I am not a killer." Oprah is being sue for discrimination!

A Female former staffer named Carolyn Hommel is suing Oprah for discrimination. She claimed in her suit that she was hired in 2010 as a senior director of scheduling and acquisition and was promised that she was on track to become a VP, but things took a sudden turn when she became pregnant. According to Hommel ... her duties were slowly transferred to a temporary employee and she was excluded from meetings when she returned from medical leave. Hommel claims she was let go ONE MONTH after giving birth and told to re-apply for the VP gig ... only to be passed over. Furthermore, Hommel claims her boss, Michael Garner, fabricated a performance review that "made Hommel's job duties and responsibilities appear less 'senior' and therefore not a candidate for the new vice president position." Hommel allegees her dismissal was a direct result of her becoming pregnant and requiring a medical leave.
